Safety
At Northern Territory Airports we value the health and wellbeing of our employees and all stakeholders that use and visit our airports. We believe that everyone has a right to operate in a safe environment.
We are committed to the highest standards of safety and continual improvement in our safety performance.
In 2009 NT Airports introduced the “SAFE” (Safe Airport for Everyone) campaign. The campaign focuses on safety initiatives that are being implemented across all three airports.
In line with this commitment, in July 2010 NT Airports re-launched its SAFE campaign with a range of promotional items and tools that can be used by all on-airport operators. This includes a Safety Action Plan that details the main objectives and key performance indicators for the airport. This Safety Action Plan is also a tool to assist in keeping the campaign “top of mind” through:
- Regular worksafe safety observations and inspections;
- Staff training and education seminars;
